This morning at approx. 8:20 AM Blaine Hill VFC & Elizabeth Boro V.F.C. were alerted for a a vehicle stuck in flood water with entrapment. in the area of 1101 Happy Hollow Road. Elizabeth Township Police Department arrived on scene and confirmed 1 female standing on top of her vehicle with water up to the hood. Elizabeth Boro VFC swift water team deployed to effect a successful rescue of a single occupant. Units remained on scene while flood waters receded while addition crews tended to multiple flooded basements in the Township. Thank you to Elizabeth Township Fire Department, Buena Vista VFC Citizen’s Hose Co. #1 Of Glassport - Station 161, and Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue for their assistance as well!

SPC has upgraded a good part of our area to a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for this afternoon and evening. Primary threats remain damaging wind and large hail.
