VEHICLE SECURITY

Historically most vehicle break-ins occur during the overnight hours when the majority of people are asleep. As a result, EPD highly encourages residents of the Elizabethtown area to remove all valuables (i.e. cash, weapons, jewelry, keys, etc.) and lock their vehicles, especially during the overnight hours.

Leaving valuables in unsecured vehicles and/or in plain view from the exterior provides an easy opportunity for bad actors to commit thefts. Residents who observe any suspicious activity are urged to immediately contact EPD by calling (717) 367-6540 or 911 for emergencies.
