This is my good friend Jimmy. We spent some time visiting at the local farmers market in Ackley Park, talking politics… and tomatoes!

That’s what I enjoy most about being out on the campaign trail—the opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and have honest conversations about the things that matter most to the people of Beckham County.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organize and host the Berlin Community Dinner on Saturday, July 11th!

It was great to see so many familiar faces, visit with friends and neighbors, and enjoy a wonderful meal together. Community gatherings like these are a great reminder of what makes Beckham County such a special place to call home.

I’m already looking forward to the next gathering! If you haven’t had the chance to attend, I encourage you to go support the Berlin Community Building. They host a delicious meal and great fellowship one Saturday each month, and it’s all by donation. Every donation helps support the monthly community meal and the upkeep of the building.

Thank you again to everyone who makes these gatherings possible. They truly bring our community together.

For those who may be new to this page, I’d like to reintroduce myself. My name is Sammy Carnes, and for the past 32 years, I’ve proudly worked as a Beckham County employee, serving the people of this county every day. My experience working on county roads and bridges has given me firsthand knowledge of the responsibilities and dedication this job requires.

Serving Beckham County has never been about politics—it’s been my life’s work.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown throughout this campaign. Because of your confidence and your vote, we’ve advanced to the August runoff election, and I’m asking for your continued support as we take this final step together.

If elected as your Beckham County Commissioner for District 3, I will lead with the same values that have guided me throughout my career: hard work, honesty, dependability, and a commitment to serving every community in District 3.

Thank You, Beckham County District 3!

I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me, encouraged me, put up signs, shared posts, said prayers, and most importantly, cast a vote in yesterday’s election. I am truly humbled and grateful for the trust you have placed in me.

I finished yesterday’s race with 377 votes (45.15%),
leading the field and securing a place in continuing my campaign for our county.

Because of your support, I have earned a spot in the August 25th runoff election.

Over the next several weeks, I will continue visiting with the people of District 3, listening to your concerns, and sharing my vision for our communities. I would be honored to earn your support once again.

Today is Election Day.

First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to this community for the incredible support, encouragement, and kindness you’ve shown over these past few months. It has been a true blessing to visit with so many of you, hear your concerns, and share conversations about the future of District 3 and Beckham County.

No matter the outcome, I am thankful for every handshake, every prayer, every message, every sign displayed, and every word of encouragement along the way. This campaign has reminded me just how special our communities are and how fortunate I am to call Beckham County home.

There are a lot of things I’m proud of in life, but being their Gampy tops the list.

These kids are my reminder that the work we do today helps shape the future they’ll grow up in. That’s why I’ve spent the last 32 years serving Beckham County and working hard for the people who call it home.
