Woke up to these in the inbox and had to share. 😎

We started Elk Grove Only because we wanted a place to talk about our city, our local coffee runs, and the family vibes without the constant noise of politics and bickering.

Seeing that it’s actually hitting home for you all? That’s the fuel.

Thankful Thursday Question: Since we’re keeping the vibes high today, tell us one person or business in Elk Grove who made your week better. Let’s show them some love in the comments. 👇

Looking for "Elk Groovians" ✌️

If you like the updates here on the main page, you’re only getting half the story.

We’ve officially opened the doors to the Elk Groovians group—the private corner of this community where we get into the "vibe" of our city.

What’s inside?

The Real Recs: No fluff. Just neighbors sharing the best hidden trails, the local sandwich spots that never miss, and the Wednesday survival tips.

The Inner Circle: A place to talk about what makes this city home, without the noise.

Your Ideas: Tell us how we can build this online community to embrace our Elk Grove community.

If you’re the person who knows which park has the best sunset view or where to find the best coffee, you belong in there. Or maybe you want to learn more about our community from your neighbors. You belong there, too.

Show us your city. Show us your vibe.

We’re halfway through the week, and we’re skipping the big chains today. We want to know about the places that don't have the massive signs on Laguna Blvd.

The Question: If a friend was visiting Elk Grove for just 4 hours and wanted to feel like a local, where is the ONE "hidden gem" spot you’re taking them?

Maybe it's that specific sandwich spot, a quiet park in the Franklin area, or a boutique in Old Elk Grove that always has the perfect gift.

No "Best of" labels here. Just neighbors sharing the spots that make this city home. 👇

While we’re all planning our Taco Tuesday dinners, there is a lot of conversation happening at the EGUSD offices today.

The district recently approved a series of layoffs, but the headlines are buzzing because board members are simultaneously considering a pay raise for themselves. It’s a tough needle to thread, and we know many of you have kids in these classrooms or friends on staff.

In other city news, leaders have officially settled on the Survey Road site (near East Stockton Blvd) for the permanent homeless shelter. It's a move aimed at reducing encampments citywide, but it’s definitely a major change for that specific corridor of Elk Grove.

The Question: Between school district shifts and new city projects, what’s the one local change you’re watching most closely right now? Or is there another local topic on your mind?
