Breastfeeding in Rural Communities Study (BERCS)
The Kittitas County Breastfeeding Coalition and Central Washington University are conducting a study on infant nutrition and health, including breastfeeding. We'd like to hear about your experiences feeding your baby. You are being asked to participate in a short survey to understand how to better support mothers, infants, and families in reaching their feeding and nutrition goals. You can access the online survey at bit.ly/BERCS You may also request a paper copy of the survey instrument from a member of the research team.

All study questions can be directed to Tishra Beeson [email protected] or 509-963-2494

Please consider sharing this study invitation with a friend!

Look at this sweet girl enjoying the KCBC Baby Feeding Station at the Kittitas County Fair!

If you and baby need to escape the excitement of the fair we have set up a quiet indoor space to feed, change, and relax.

The KCBC Baby Feeding Station is inside the Armory (the big green building by the rides).

Have fun!

Kittitas County Breastfeeding Coalition

Our Vision: Kittitas County aspires to be the most breastfeeding supportive county in Washington.

Our Mission: The Kittitas County Breastfeeding Coalition promotes, protects, and supports breastfeeding for lifelong individual, family, and community health.

The Kittitas County Breastfeeding Coalition (KCBC) promotes breastfeeding in every stage and environment. This includes activities such as World Breastfeeding Week events, operating baby feeding stations at community events, and providing opportunities to learn more about breastfeeding through academic and community presentations. KCPHD and KCBC collaborate to protect breastfeeding and pumping mothers at home, in the workplace, and in public by offering information, resources, and referrals on breastfeeding laws and protections, in addition to support and guidance for workplaces looking to increase support of breastfeeding and pumping employees.
