Kiwanis Club of Ellicott City

The Kiwanis Club of Ellicott City is very proud of it’s contributions to the community in the past and will continue to serve in the future.

We are a local community organization working to inspire and engage adult and youth volunteers of all ages to join together in creating a brighter future for children and their families through service to the community We have had a strong foundation in the community for over 80 years and ared are proud of our many programs and projects: The club started Youth Baseball in Howard County and the pr

ogram continues to grow; the high music programs were started when the club furnished instruments for students to learn music; a scholarship was established for Howard County students and has been awarded each year; in 1995, the club established a clinic in the neo-natal section of the Howard County General Hospital; and we donated the clock that is located on the corner of Main Street at the historic B&O train station.

At our dinner meeting this week, we had two amazing guest speakers! We had Todd Stubbs from the Community Action Council of Howard County who informed us on all they do. We then presented them with their annual donation check! Next, we had • Charalyn Rogers-Nado from the Howard Community College Educational Foundation. She gave us update and suprised everyone with news that we are having a plaque installed for being a continued supporter and donor for their scholarships for 25 years now! Stay tuned for the unveiling of the plaque!

The start of the school year is not only about getting school supplies, but making sure every student has the basic essentials to be healthy, safe, and confident to do their best in school.

At our 2026 District Convention, we are partnering with Annapolis Elementary School to provide school supplies, food, books, and some fun surprises! DCON attendees will pack the items and provide notes to the students.

Congratulations to our Scholarship Recipient, Nishil Rajani! He was accompanied by his parents at our celebration dinner this week. He will be attending University of MD College Park in the fall! Thanks for all you have done and we can't wait to see what you do in the future!
