Hello patriots! I am not sure if you are aware...but I have been asked and have accepted the role of Co-chair for the Howard County Hogan for Governor Campaign. I can not begin to tell you how impressed I am with the level of professionalism and enthusiasm I see from the Hogan/Rutherford candidates and staff. I am just thrilled to be part of the team that will help elect a candidate that will bring much needed CHANGE to Maryland. The latest poll shows Hogan just 3 points behind Brown WITH amazing momentum just at the right time! I am having a great time and am hoping YOU will be willing to volunteer a few hours to help. I promise you will have fun while doing much needed work. If you only have 2 hours or want to devote a few hours each week, we can use your help! And if you want one of those HOGAN signs you see going up in the county, let me know! Thank you so very much! Carol

This picture will remain one of my best memories of the last year as I campaigned for the House of Delegates. Holding political office was NEVER on my radar until Ellicott City was gerrymandered and we needed a candidate. It was ALWAYS about stepping up to the plate as I was seeing firsthand the negative effect of the policies coming from Annapolis on the businesses, employers and families of Maryland...especially those in the private sector, and sincerely hoped I could shine the light on that and help reverse the trend. It was a very close race and while I certainly wish I had come out on top, I congratulate Bob Flanagan and wish him well in the General Election. Running for office is unlike any other experience! I have met so many people and made many new friends. I am very proud of the race we ran. I have received many, many messages today from Republicans and Democrats on the quality of the campaign. The passion of the people supporting me is well...heartwarming and inspiring. I want to thank all of you who supported me through your time, finances, love, and constant encouragement. I have had a GREAT time. Now, please find a good candidate to support and help get them elected in November! God Bless, Love, Carol

The best thing yet today: a family that moved here from Pakistan came to vote. All decked out in red, white and blue they were so grateful to vote and were enthusiastically supporting me. They took this picture of their 6 year old with me!

Maryland Ranked 49 in economic growth in 2013 as reported in the Baltimore Business Journal. This is serious folks. Education, environment, programs for the needy can only be funded when you put the economy and jobs first. Keeping and attracting businesses and jobs will be my top priority if elected.

Only Alaska and Washington, D.C., fared worse in 2013.
