Toilets - test your toilet! Leaks waste water. Add several drops of food coloring to the toilet tank. If it’s leaking, the color will appear in the toilet without flushing.

Faucets - stop leaks! Twice a year check all faucets inside and outside for leaks. Replace worn out fixtures, washers, O-rings and hose connections. Make sure to turn faucets off firmly.

Tips to Prevent Frozen Pipes during Winter:
1. Open cabinets regularly to let warm air circulate
2. Keep garage doors closed
3. Keep thermostat consistent
4. Open interior doors to keep your home consistent temperature
5. Set the heat to at least 55 degrees F when you are not home
6. Let faucets drip

1. leaking toilets - can double or triple a water bill
2. water powered sump pumps going to primary
3. burst hoses - turn water off at faucets and release pressure especially outside hoses
4. extra lines going to a pool or another outbuilding
5. humidifier going to drain
6. ice maker going to drain - especially in businesses

1) call the office (674-8855) to set up an appointment to come in OR we have a slot in the door and you are welcome to put your payment in a sealed envelope (provided in vestibule).

2) you may send through the mail.

3) you may pay at Cy’s Pharmacy.

4) you may pay through your bank online bill pay.

5) you may go to our website: www.elmanewyork.com,
scroll halfway down the page and select pay your water bill on the left-hand side of the screen. There is a charge for this option.

6) You may sign up for ACH debit with the office staff to for your next payment.
