Some of our dino pals are still making their way across Cameron County, and there are signs that still need to be hidden. So, stay tuned for more information about more dinosaurs you can look for!

Also, if you've found your first 5 dinosaurs, please stop by the library to claim your instant prize! We also have posters of our prize packages available. So, for every 5 dinosaurs you find, you get one raffle ticket entry to potentially win one of several awesome prizes!

🦖 WOW! You all are absolutely CRUSHING the Cameron County Dinosaur Hunt! 🦕

The enthusiasm for this dino-mite scavenger hunt has been truly RAWR-some, and we're loving seeing families get out and explore Cameron County in search of prehistoric pals!

Just a friendly reminder:

🎉 Found your first 5 dinosaurs? Stop by the library to claim your instant prize!

🎟️ After that, for every additional 5 dinosaurs you find, you'll earn 1 raffle ticket entry toward one of our awesome prize packages. Check out the photos in this post to see some of the prizes you could win! Our raffle ticket bags are ready and waiting.

📸 Taking selfies with the dinosaurs? We'd love to see them! However, please crop your photos or take close-up shots so the dinosaur locations aren't revealed. We want everyone to enjoy the thrill of the hunt, and giving away locations takes some of the fun out of the adventure.

👀 And here's a little secret... not all of the dinosaur signs have been hidden yet!

Don't worry if you're just getting started—this scavenger hunt runs through August, so there's still plenty of time to track down dinosaurs, earn prizes, and enter raffles.

It looks like they’ve already started trying to launch the Cameron County Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt by putting out signs early! 👀 We guess they heard this is one ROAR-some event you won’t want to miss this summer.

The official hunt kicks off NEXT WEEK, and we are absolutely dino-mite levels of excited! 🦕✨

The Dino Hunt is about to unleash a prehistoric party in our backyard! 🦖
Find 5 dinosaurs and instantly choose from a dino-grabber, dino sparkle keychain, dino-chicken nugget (yes, that's a thing), or travel utensil set.
Plus, for every 5 dinosaurs located, participants will earn one raffle ticket toward a prize package of their choice. Brave explorers who discover all 25 dinosaurs will be entered into the drawing for the MASSIVE GRAND PRIZE PACKAGE.
Prize packages include charcuterie boards, locally made items, fossil dig kits, games, a metal detector, engraving pen, and many more dino-mite surprises. The Grand Prize Package includes tickets to DelGrosso's Amusement Park for the 2027 season, tickets to the Carnegie Science Center, and additional prehistoric prizes.
A full list of prizes will be released after the hunt begins.

Wait a second… is that a Cameron County road atlas sitting at the desk?! 👀 It looks like our dino buddies are officially ready to leave the library and start exploring the rest of Cameron County!

Their excitement for our upcoming 2026 Summer Reading Program: Unearth A Story simply can’t be contained anymore! 🦕📚

🦖🍪 Oh boy… our dino buddies have certainly made themselves right at home here at the library! After all that hard work stomping around and preparing for summer adventures, they decided they deserved a sweet treat. Word traveled through the prehistoric grapevine that Emporium as some dino-mite bakeries, and they got themselves some yummy cookies from Allegheny Baking Co. 🍪🦕

Judging by all the excitement, they can hardly wait because registration for the library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program begins NEXT MONDAY! 🎉📚

This summer is going to be packed with:
