BEACH WEEK 2026

That’s a wrap for the Southern End Men this week.

Several members attended the South Carolina Fire-Rescue Conference in Myrtle Beach, where our guys staffed a recruitment booth, talked shop with firefighters from across the state, and sold merchandise from our members shop.

On Friday, Chief Daniels and Captain Tinsley accepted the 2025 Fire Safe South Carolina designation, alongside 200+ fire departments, including departments from across Spartanburg County.

On Wednesday, Chief McCarley and Chief Bell taught Tactics, Leadership, and Relationships for the first time.

We were also joined by The Box Alarm By Fardale Emergency Lighting in the booth on Friday. We enjoyed the fellowship with them, and the TFD was proud to be one of the departments with The Box Alarm installed.

Members checked out new equipment, attended training, and above all else, built new relationships.

We’ll see you next year, MB!

Over the last two weeks, the Southern End Units have stayed busy, responding to multiple working incidents, including two HazMat calls at Celanese and the BMW Battery Plant.

Over the weekend, the B-Platoon responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Highway 221, resulting in a patient being flown out.

Sunday Morning, the Southern End Units went first due on Woodward Street in the City of Woodruff with fire showing.
