Running for City Council is the next step in my commitment to balanced, community leadership.

Since moving to Enumclaw, I’ve been active in civic life, serving five years on the Park Board, which I now chair, and leading our neighborhood HOA as president.

As the dust settles after the election last week I am humbled by the support that I have received. From those that encouraged me to pursue this position in the first place, to those that supported me through the campaign, and all of you that voted for me. Thank you.

Now it is time to roll up my sleeves and get to work. When it said and done we will have four new members out of seven on the council. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t have the experience required to serve the city. We all have our strengths, life experiences and our desires to work together to get this done.

I encourage you to get involved. Join one of the city boards. And if not with the city, volunteer with one of the many charities and organizations in the area. If you want some ideas just talk to me. We can find a place. Be part of the solution.

You should have received your ballots by now. And if they are sitting on your kitchen counter or that table next to the front door, they are sitting in the wrong place. They need to be in that ballot box at the Enumclaw Library. The earlier the better to make sure your vote is counted.

We all have our opinions on how we would like to see the government run, and who we want in those leadership positions. However, your opinion only matters if you act on it by voting.

Got the ballot today!Make sure you vote!

I highly recommend you take your completed ballot to the election drop box at the Enumclaw Library at 1700 1st Street. The earlier the better to insure that your vote is counted. The post office has changed their postmarking procedure so ballots mailed on Election Day may not get postmarked correctly.

VOTE! It is your right and your responsibility!

The big news today is that THE BRIDGE IS OPEN!

This closure reminded us of how closely our two communities are so closely intertwined. Enumclaw and Buckley joined forces to work through the difficult time, and we all will be the stronger for it.

As such I would encourage you as always to continue to give support to our local businesses. They could use some love after the last couple of months.

We all love Enumclaw. We love the community. We all love the people. That’s why we live here. Let’s make Enumclaw even stronger.

We are less than 4 weeks from election day on November 4th. The voters' pamphlet will be mailed out on October 14th, with the ballots mailed out on October 15th. You should receive them by the 16th and 17th.

A lot is happening in the next couple of weeks as we prepare for the big push. You will see more signs going up. We have another Meet and Greet scheduled for next Wednesday the 15th at the High Point assisted living facility. And we will be doing some old-fashioned door knocking over the next few weeks.

I am overwhelmed by the support I am receiving through this process. Individuals and businesses are displaying signs and passing out literature because they believe in what I will bring to the council. They believe in my positive attitude and my willingness to put in the time and effort to keep Enumclaw a great place to live.

It is not too late to help with the campaign. Let me know if you need a sign, are willing to host a Meet and Greet, or to help with some door knocking. Or anything else you can do to help.

Remember to vote. No matter who for or what for. It is a right, and I believe a responsibility, to vote. We need as much participation as possible in this voting system to make your voice heard. And we need your voice heard for the City of Enumclaw.

Just got home from the meet and greet. We had 12 people in attendance and they brought questions about growth and impact fees, as well as some infrastructure questions. I believe it was pretty successful.

Can’t wait till we have another one. Want to host it?

Our meet-n-greet is tonight at 7:00pm. I encourage you all to come and talk about what is important to you for the city of Enumclaw. Conversation is the first thing that needs to happen for all of us to work together for a better Enumclaw.

We have a meet and greet set up! I am anxious to meet some people and discuss some city concerns. All are welcome.

The meeting will be on Thursday September 18th at 7:00pm. It will be at a home in Enumclaw and I will send the address once you contact me and tell me you’re coming. There will be some light snacks and great conversation!

If anyone else would like to host a meet-n-greet we can easily set it up. Just let me know and we can set it up at your home or business.

It is now 60 days till Election Day on November 4th. And it is now legal to get those yard signs up!

We are quickly approaching the two-month mark prior to the election in November. And we will be stepping the campaign up a bit. As such, we could use some help from you.

First, we would like to schedule some meet-and-greets. This will be the opportunity for you to set up an event at your home or business (or other location) so we can get to know some people, and they can get to know me. I will discuss my platform, then answer any questions or concerns that they would have and my approach to handle those. All in a casual setting. If interested, you can go to my website and click on the link provided or just message me and we can get something set up.

Secondly, questions and comments can be brought up on this page. Just let me know what you think, and I will do the same.
