Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Again the Erie-Crawford Central Labor Council AFL-CIO Community Services Committee is having our annual Christmas event. This year the committee would like to fill bags for about 75 children, and 75 adults at the soldier/sailor home. The community services committee is asking for items or donations for this worthy event.
We planned on stuffing the bags on December 3rd at our annual meeting. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Michael Butler 814-881-9835 or [email protected] . Again thank you for your favorable response.

In Solidarity,
Matthew McLaughlin President Erie-Crawford

SUBJECT: “Veterans Breakfast” in honor Veterans Day

Brothers and Sisters,

November 11th, 2014 is Veterans Day. Our history tells us on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of year 1918, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in the First World War, then known as “the Great War”. Commemorated as Armistice Day beginning the following year, November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United State in 1938. In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars.

Out of respect and love, we are planning a “Veterans Breakfast”. This event is Free to veterans.
