Our Board of Trustees took their meeting on the road!

The Erie Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees recently visited Erie County Community College for a closer look at how EC3 is preparing students for the careers and opportunities shaping Erie County’s future.

We heard firsthand from a student about their experience at EC3 and toured the college’s new nursing facility, seeing the spaces where students are gaining the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience they need to succeed. We’re grateful to EC3 for welcoming us and sharing the important work happening on campus!

The Erie Community Foundation joins our community in mourning the loss of Deb Murphy, whose generosity and leadership left an enduring mark on ECF and throughout Erie.

Deb was a longtime Foundation leader, serving as a Trustee and becoming the first woman to chair our Board. She and her husband, Doug, also established a scholarship fund at ECF and were honored last year with our Edward C. Doll Community Service Award.

Deb’s legacy includes helping to found the Erie Women’s Fund, which has now invested more than $1.4 million in women and families.

We’re deeply grateful for all Deb gave to our Foundation and our community. 💜

The Erie Community Foundation joins our community in mourning the loss of Deb Murphy, whose generosity and leadership left an enduring mark on The Erie Community Foundation and throughout Erie.
