With screens taking up more and more of our daily lives, carving out intentional, screen-free time as a family can make a big difference—especially for kids and teens. Whether it’s for an evening or a full day, unplugging creates space for connection, creativity, and real conversation.

May is Jewish American Heritage Month—a time to recognize and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Jewish Americans, while also deepening our understanding of the past.

At West Shore Students First, we believe public education plays a vital role in helping students learn from history and build a more informed, empathetic future. That’s why we want to highlight Echoes & Reflections—a leading provider of Holocaust education resources available at no cost to educators.

Through classroom-ready lessons, professional development opportunities, and multimedia materials, Echoes & Reflections supports educators in teaching this critical history with accuracy, depth, and compassion. Their resources not only explore the Holocaust, but also promote critical thinking about antisemitism, prejudice, and the importance of standing up for others.
