Country legend Dolly Parton, who died Tuesday, began the Imagination Library program to spark a love of reading in young children across the globe. In Pennsylvania, Parton’s program has affiliates in 16 counties offering free books to children from birth through age 5.

📈 Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly are more likely to succeed academically, develop stronger friendships, and feel connected to their school community.

As another school year begins, let's help our students start strong. Establishing good attendance habits in August and September can set the tone for the entire year.

Of course, children should stay home when they're sick—but whenever possible, every day in school is another opportunity to learn, grow, and belong.

Tomorrow is the first day of the 2026-2027 school year, and our schools will be featured throughout the morning!

TRANSPORTATION UPDATE: As we prepare for the first day of school, families may notice some changes to student bus numbers.

To address gaps in our existing numbering system and make bus identification and accounting more consistent, new vinyl numbers have been ordered for our buses. Route times have not changed, and PowerSchool has been updated with current bus number assignments.

In rare instances, a student may have different AM and PM bus numbers. This is intentional and is not an error. Please check PowerSchool for your student’s most current bus number and pickup and drop-off times. As an additional reminder, transportation information must be viewed on the PowerSchool website, not the mobile application.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through these final transportation updates and prepare for a smooth start to the school year.
