What a day for the Eureka Police Department!

Today was a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special. We started the morning at the 9th Annual Eureka Chamber of Commerce Prayer Breakfast hosted by the Holiday Inn at Six Flags. A special thank you to Coach Mike Martz for sharing such inspirational words and encouragement with everyone in attendance.

We then spent the afternoon celebrating the incredible graduating seniors at the annual Eureka High School Hot Dog Luncheon, and wrapped up the day enjoying great conversation and fellowship during our annual Senior Citizen Luncheon at The Timbers of Eureka.

From our students preparing for their next chapter to the senior citizens who helped build this amazing community, today was all about connection, appreciation, and community spirit.

We are incredibly grateful to serve and work in such an outstanding community. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us, supported these events, and continues to make Eureka such a special place to call home.

Today, the Eureka Police Department, in partnership with the Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association, was proud to host an Officer Survival Training Class.
Nearly 60 officers from MIRMA member agencies came together with a shared purpose: to be better prepared for the risks they face each day in service to their communities.
This training reflects what is best for both our officers and the public we serve. It reinforces an important truth: officer safety and sound risk management practices go hand in hand.
Chief Werges is proud to serve on MIRMAโ€™s Law Enforcement Advisory Board, helping support initiatives that strengthen officer safety across Missouri.
A sincere thank you to Patrick, Jeff, and the entire MIRMA team for a job well done. Your proactive leadership and commitment continue to make a meaningful difference.
Preparation. Partnership. Professionalism. That is how we move forward.

Missouri Blue Shield Community

The City of Eureka is proud to once again be recognized by the Missouri Department of Public Safety as a Missouri Blue Shield Community for 2026. This designation reflects our continued commitment to strong public safety initiatives, proactive policing, and meaningful partnerships between the Eureka Police Department and the community we proudly serve.
This achievement would not be possible without the dedication of our officers and the ongoing support of Mayor Sean Flower, the Board of Aldermen, and our residents and businesses. Communities receiving this designation may also be eligible for state grant funding to support law enforcement equipment and training.
Together We Are Eureka Strong.
