A message from 50501 Humboldt:
Last week, a Humboldt resident, Gilberto "Rudy" Jimenez Gonzales, was detained by ICE on his way home from lowa. He was detained in Wyoming and taken to Colorado shortly after, where he is still being detained. 50501 will be holding an emergency protest this Saturday, August 1st, at the Eureka Courthouse from 12-2pm, and we need as much support as possible.

The family has set up a GoFundMe and 50501 will have a donation bucket for the family at the event.

Please come out and show your support for your community and voice your feelings against ICE violence.

Please contact AJ at [email protected] with questions and inquiries.

Sincerely,

AJ, Josev. Rick. and Isaiah

This fundraiser is just getting started, and sharing helps so much in the early days. My dad was detained by ICE while driving from Eureka, California, to Iowa — simply for having a broken tail light and questions about his legal status. He’s a devoted father, husband, and community volunteer who has lived in the U.S. for over 30 years. We’re raising funds to cover legal fees and related expenses to bring him home.

Even if you can’t donate, a quick share can help this reach someone who may be able to support. Please consider sharing or donating if you can — it means the world to my family. Thank you! 🙏🏼✨

My dad was recently detained by ice July 15, 2026 on his way to a family reunio… Alina Jimenez needs your support for Standing with Our Dad for Justice
