Fight For Freedom - F3 Fight for Freedom (F3) Northwestern's only human trafficking awareness and activism group. Current partners include the Red Sands Project and CAASE.

Fight for Freedom (F3) seeks to raise awareness and advocate against modern-day slavery in Chicago and abroad. F3 aims to engage the Northwestern campus in these issues through various programming events, including film screenings, roundtable discussions and speaker events with international anti-trafficking NGOs and media outlets. F3 also maintains partnerships with government agencies such as th

e Department of Homeland Security, and Chicago-based nonprofits that fight trafficking locally. This year, F3 will partner with the Dreamcatcher Foundation to tutor survivors of sex trafficking and vulnerable youth in Chicago.

A few facts about modern-day slavery: - It involves the control of another person for the purpose of exploitation. - There are more slaves today than at any other time in human history - about 27 million slaves exist in the world today, according to the U.S. State Department. - Slavery takes on many and various forms - from sex and labor trafficking, domestic servitude to forced child labor. - It happens everywhere, including the U.S., which is the second highest destination in the world for trafficked victims. - It is also happening in Chicago: 16,000 – 25,000 women and girls are trafficked annually in Chicago.
