💙 Meet Officer Ken Thomas, who leads Arlington’s Community Outreach Team and works to connect people in our community with services and resources.

Officer Thomas brings patience, compassion, and a calm, respectful approach to each interaction. Through relationship-building and careful listening, he helps individuals navigate difficult circumstances and identify practical next steps toward stability.

He works with people experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, or behavioral health needs, helping connect them with services such as housing, treatment, transportation, identification, benefits, and assessments.

This work reflects an important part of public safety: meeting people with dignity, listening to their needs, and helping connect them with the right support.

Arlington partners with Snohomish County through the Law Enforcement Embedded Social Worker program. Through this partnership, the County assigns a social worker to work alongside Arlington Police Department officers as part of a co-response approach.
