Cadet Malmgren, a TCNJ Graduate of 2016 is TCNJs and Princeton Tiger Battalions most newly pinned 2LT. 2LT Malmgren will be serving in the Active Duty Army as an Infantry Officer. He will be attending IBOLC (Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course) in early 2017.

Friday 04NOV, TCNJ Cadets participated in a lab which went over the fundamentals of an attack. This culminated with a practical exercise in which the cadets ran a simulation attack on mock enemy forces.

This past weekend, 30 September - 2 October, Princeton Battalion cadets executed their fall leadersthip training exercise (LTX) at Ft. Dix, NJ. The cadets successfully completed various Solider training drills, land navigation, and a leader's reaction course (LRC). During of the LRC cadets had the opportunity to test their leadership and teamwork skills as they executed each obstacle. The LTX culminated with nineteen outstanding cadets taking thier oath of enlistment and offically beginning their journey to becoming officers.

Last Friday, Princeton and TCNJ Cadets participated in a leadership lab designed to teach the components necessary to conduct an ambush. Upper classmen cadets instructed two sessions; how to conduct an ambush, and how to move as a squad size element. This culminated with a simulated ambush on a mock enemy!

On Friday, September 16, the new freshman cadets from TCNJ and Princeton received a brief from our Senior Military Science Instructor. This outlined expectations along with standards that need to be met through the ROTC curriculum. After, the MSIII cadets helped to issue all of the freshman gear.

On 24 September, Lion Company cadets had the privilege of honoring Veterans at The Mercerville Center, in Mercerville, NJ. The cadets took part in recognizing thirteen Mercerville Center residents and staff members that served in various branches of the U.S. Military from 1940 – 1993. The event began with Lion Company cadets helping to dedicate and unveil an armed services wall, which recognized all thirteen veterans, their branch of service, and years of service. During recognition of each Veteran, the cadets pinned an American flag pin on the Veteran’s lapels and thanked them for their service.

TCNJ Cadets along with the American Veterans Club had a recruiting table at TCNJ's annual activities fair today Wednesday 14SEP. The activities fair is designed to show incoming freshman, transfer students, and current students the numerous ways one can participate on campus.

On Sunday 11SEP16, TCNJ Cadets Bryson, O'Connor, Harris, and Donnelley/ participated in TCNJ's moment of silence for 9/11. The campus community was invited and many came together to honor those who lost their lives that day and those in the ensuing conflict in the Middle East. A guest speaker, who was an alumni to TCNJ spoke and described his day on 9/11. He happened to be in one of the buildings that day, and it was a great experience to hear his words on 9/11.
