You may have noticed this page has been a bit quiet lately! As many of you know, I stepped down from my role as Social Service Director for the Town of Exeter in January.

I’m so happy to share that JoAnn Shugrue has recently been appointed as the new Director of Social Services! JoAnn brings great energy and enthusiasm into this work and I hope you’ll join me in giving her a warm welcome.

It’s been an honor to serve Exeter, and I’m so very grateful for all your support and connections over the years. JoAnn and I have been working together to make sure the transition goes smoothly, and I know she’ll do a wonderful job.

Welcome, JoAnn!

In appreciation, Jess D ❤️

Thank you, Rep Cotter for supporting the Exeter Food Bank and your neighbors in need!! Donations of laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and paper towels are especially needed!

❤️ It’s time for our annual Show Some Love event! ❤️

There is so much hate and division in the world right now but this community knows how to do something better. We take care of each other.

Join us February 24th at 6 p.m. at Tilted Barn Brewery in Exeter for a free dinner, good company, and a whole lot of love.

✨ All you have to do is bring one personal care items like:

* Tampons
* Toilet paper
* Toothpaste
* Soap or other hygiene essentials

Your donation will go directly to RICAN and Exeter Social Services, helping neighbors who need it most.

Let’s do what we do best, show some love. 💕

Due to the impending snowstorm, the Town of Exeter, RI, is issuing a townwide parking ban on all roads to allow for safe and effective snow removal operations.

Village driver's play a vital role in helping our members remain independent and connected.
Many older adults can no longer drive and rely on volunteers everyday. Providing rides is a friendly, flexible way to support neighbors while enjoying meaningful connections.
