This weekend continues our in-person worship services.
We are limited to 50 people per service. Please adhere to the following:

1. Sign up to attend by registering at the link below. (Only 50 registered people will be able to attend. Please do not come if you are not registered.):

•Catholic Mass at 1115

2. Once you arrive, sign in at the single point of entry
3. Wear a mask while in the building

4. Maintain physical distancing (pews will be marked for individuals and families)

5. Only two people in the restroom at a time
Once again, there is the set number of 50 people allowed in the building at a time. Please use the sign-up links to R.S.V.P. if you plan on coming to the Chapel to worship.

6. If you are feeling sick, have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to anyone that has tested positive, please stay home and view the live stream feed from our YouTube channel.

Declaration of Independence: A Transcription

A Message from Chaplain Shawn Bishop, 92 ARW Wing Chaplain

As we approach Independence Day let us harken back to the founding of this nation, and the rights for all citizens and ideals for all humanity. Consider the fabric that makes us “us” together. Consider being patriot siblings bonded by ideals and commitments. Remember we haven’t always gotten things right, but we have been moved to adjustment, improvement, and embrace. We have often expanded goodness and respect in cases where we’ve fallen short – and we always can, and we always should... but it is up to each generation. It is our time. It’s for everyone.

This year I will reflect on our Declaration of Independence and on Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Dream Speech. They are connected. They speak to us as a nation. They call us onward to truth and justice, and to be a beacon of light of what can be. Consider the excerpts of the Declaration and the Dream Speech included here. Consider reading them in their entirety at the links provide.

Our final prizes went to three amazing families! Thank you for posting everyday for VBS! We also would like to thank all the amazing parents and kiddos who participated in VBS this year! We know it was a different way of doing things and we missed all of your smiling faces each and everyday. We hope next year we are able to do VBS in person again. We hope you all enjoyed your VBS activities and keep your eyes open for our awesome Family Event coming up the end of JULY!

A message from Ch, Lt Col Shawn Bishop, Wing
Chaplain

Fairchild community, you are thought of today. Thank you for being you, and thank you for caring about each other and about what is good and helpful in the world. Our base, all the Armed Forces, nation, and the whole world have been through considerable challenges over these months. We’ve adjusted and addressed health and safety concerns. We’ve had personal challenges and made organizational efforts to adjust to a different way of getting things done as we “stand on the wall” to keep our nation secure. It is amazing and inspiring. There have also been tragedies and loss, which weighs on many. And then we’re aware, again, that there are things that aren’t right; and that some suffer and are mistreated, and that circumstances and attitudes need to change for many, and that everyone can continue to grow and develop in matters of human dignity. I plan to adopt 19 June as a new day to remember struggles for freedom – historical and ongoing. This Juneteenth, I will reflect on Harriet Tubman. I’ll review her tireless work to help others others in efforts to move to equality and justice and freedom for all. I’ll reflect on her faith, which shined a light on her path as a fearless leader against odds, and her repeated risks to personal safety and life itself for a cause bigger than any one person. It is humbling and helpful to remember. I hope you do something similar sometime today. May God bless and keep you. Ch Shawn Bishop

Hello Chapel Family!!

We are so excited that you will be joining us virtually for our fun packed VBS. We know that things are way different than a normal VBS but we are hoping that you will enjoy this time with your kids and learn a little more about Jesus through stories of the Bible! Reminder:

Friday we will have a drive through pick up for all your items needed for a successful virtual VBS. We will have pickup from 1200-1600. Please contact either one of us, if this is a hardship and we can make a plan!!

During our drive through pick up we will be hosting a Food Drive for Cleone’s in Airway. Every year for VBS we always have a way to reach more families and we think this will be a great way to reach our neighbors in the local community.

If you have some friends that are interested in signing up please send them our way Friday or to the website as we still have some spots opened!!! Please message us with any questions or concerns!!! Your VBS Conductors Kortne & Christina
