The 92d Medical Group is proud of our professional military medical team. As active-duty, civilian, and contract employees we strive daily to achieve exceptional personal and professional development while delivering world-class healthcare.
Our next cooking class will be tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4th at 1100. We will be featuring seasonal apples and pumpkin. We will be making a savory pumpkin dip, homemade applesauce and have some tasting opportunities for other pumpkin dishes as well. Please join us if you are available!
Are you looking for a healthier Halloween treat? Try a clementine "pumpkin" with a celery stem, a "grown up" caramel apple (chunks of apple and brie on a skewer, drizzled with caramel, crushed macadamia nuts and dried cranberries) or have fun building your own veggie skeleton!
Please join us on Tuesday, October 14th @ 1100 for a free cooking class featuring seasonal potatoes. We will be preparing a German Style Potato Salad with Bacon and Balsamic Vinegar. We will also have many tasting opportunities with different potato dishes brought in by special guest chefs!
Join us for our vegtetable and fruit juicing class on Tuesday, August 19 at 1100!
Quick update to our scheduled cooking class on the 15th (next Tuesday @ 1100). We will be doing smoothies instead of juicing as the guest instructor will not be available. Come join us in making a healthy cool summer beverage to beat the heat!
July Cooking Classes-We will not be holding a class on July 1st. We will have a vegetable and fruit juicing class on Tuesday, July 15th at 1100. Join us to learn more about juicers, recipes and benefits.

Just a heads up that the HAWC, Fitness Center and Aquatic Center will be closed April 12-15, due to scheduled electrical maintenance. We will re-open on Wednesday, April 16th for normal operations. Thanks!

Cooking with Alyson! In preparation for Easter in April we will be featuring quiche, bacon deviled eggs, and a tuna, celery and egg spiralized salad. The salad recipe uses zucchini and cucumber "noodles".

Fight the Enemy, the DoD Tobacco Countermarketing Video Contest, is now open for public voting. There are five finalists, including Fairchild AFB. The contest videos capture the theme of tobacco use as the "enemy" that degrades health, fitness, work productivity, and mission performance. Public voting is open to all off the contest's website, www.health.mil/FightTheEnemy, and will link to the Military Health System's YouTube channel. The public can click on the "Like" button for any of the five videos.

Smokeless Tobacco Facts:
There are at least 28 chemicals in smokeless tobacco have been found to cause cancer. The most harmful are tobacco-specific nitrosamines, which are formed during the growing, curing, fermenting, and aging of tobacco.
Smokeless tobacco causes oral cancer, esophageal cancer, and pancreatic cancer Using smokeless tobacco may also cause heart disease, gum disease, and oral lesions other than cancer, such as leukoplakia.
