While this is not an official Hogs and Heroes Fundraiser, we want to show support for our member during this difficult time. Therefore we encourage our membership to make personal donations to support Allan "Mayhem" Smith. Allan and his wife Suzanne have put in so much of their time over the years raising funds and supporting those who fall within the Hogs and Heroes mission. Now he needs your support and we encourage our members to share this to their personal page.

Rest In Peace Brother. Prayers ascend in support of your family

Brothers and Sisters it is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce the death of HnHFA Honorary Member Bob "Soup" Supler. Bob was the owner of Old Glory Harley-Davidson and a true friend of the HnHFA. Bob was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer a few months ago and passed away this morning.

While our hearts are heavy, our thoughts and prayers remain with his family, friends and co-workers. We can console ourselves in the fact that his pain is over and he can ride forevermore on the highway of eternal life. He will be with us as we ride and his voice will whisper in the wind as it passes our ears. Soup, you are hereby transferred to the HnHFA Eternal Chapter. Rest in peace Brother and may perpetual light shine upon you...

This is the time of the year that the media looks back and remembers celebrities, politicians and other familiar names who died in 2018. Instead, we will look back and remember 83 firefighters, 148 police officers, 27 Police K-9s and 23 EMS providers who gave up their future in 2018 serving their communities. Please also remember the 158 police officers who took their own lives this year. May God bless them and comfort their families!

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I am writing this letter to bring to your attention very important Foundation events happening during the 2019 Memorial Day weekend. As you may already be aware, 2019 will be the last Rolling Thunder “Ride for Freedom” that is sponsored by Rolling Thunder Inc. This is also the weekend of our yearly premiere event East Coast Thunder. We started East Coast Thunder as our companion event to Rolling Thunder, so our members could gather together and share this weekend as “One Foundation”.

These two events combined together are extremely important to the Foundation and should be as equally important to you as a member. Many people attend Rolling Thunder as a “Bucket List” event. The Hogs and Heroes Foundation has gone to great lengths to ensure a totally fulfilling experience for everyone. This is achieved by building strong relationships with the Rolling Thunder Organization. This is reflective in the fact that we have earned the honored VIP position for the “Ride for Freedom” event.

Although Rolling Thunder Inc., will not continue the “Ride for Freedom”, this offers us a unique opportunity in the future to perpetuate what they started thirty two years ago. While we may not be able to host an event of the same scale that they have accomplished, we can certainly entertain the creation of something to compliment the spirt of the “Ride for Freedom”. I have already been approached by several key individuals about the possibilities. To move forward on this opportunity, we will need the cooperation of the entire foundation.

Over the years, East Coast Thunder has caught the eye of many influential people that can help us fill the void that Rolling Thunder will leave behind. Additionally, while Rolling Thunder focused on the Viet Nam era POW’s/MIA’s, East Coast Thunder is much more inclusive of ALL Veterans, POW’s/MIA’s/KIA’s from ALL wars and conflicts. It also pays tribute to our fallen Police Officers, Firefighters and Emergency Medical Workers. This is our Mission and this is the sole reason we exist as a Foundation. Furthermore, it is truly the reason why we celebrate Memorial Day.

I am looking forward to seeing each and every member of the Hogs and Heroes on this great weekend. Please make the attendance of these two events a high priority. We would like to see everyone together to experience East Coast Thunder and Rolling Thunder as “One Foundation”.
I’ve noticed some Chapters and members have begun to post events on Meet Up and Facebook that conflict with the two events being sponsored by the Foundation. I am requesting that Chapters or members of the Hogs and Heroes refrain from posting any events that conflict with what the Foundation has planned for this weekend. An example would be to plan a separate ride for Rolling Thunder that would go separately to the Pentagon. Such an event would detract from our collective presence at this event. As an organization we are ALL required to arrive together.

Please join us at the Foundation’s Two scheduled departure points for Rolling Thunder and help us, as we begin the weekend with Our Premier event East Coast Thunder. We have also planned a Foundation dinner at Medieval Times on Saturday, May 25th at 4pm. Chapters are authorized to hold separate fundraising events leading up to Memorial Day weekend to pay for their members lodging.

Let’s make this a weekend to remember as “One Foundation”.

Coming to a Chapter Near You !!!!

Hogs and Heroes Foundation National Sr. Sergeant At Arms Mike Who? Has put together his Who's Who? Tour for 2019. This is an event for chapters in their respective states to gather together and get a chance to meet Members of the National Executive Board along with their State Directorate.

This will be a great opportunity to get to mingle with your Brother's and Sisters of Neighboring chapters and a great way to learn about the Foundation from a National level.

Each Chapter is asked to look at the dates for their Sate and keep that date open so all members will have an opportunity to attend.

HUGE Thank You to Christine Ruffner and Audrey Lowry of Morris & Co, along with Applebee’s for sponsoring Breakfast With Santa this past Saturday AM as a benefit for the Able Forces Adopt A Warrior Family For Christmas program. They opened their doors specially for this event and staff of Morris & Co, CORE (Front Royal), Premier Copier, family, and friends all assisted with waiting on tables and making this event a huge success. We also can’t forget Santa (Don) and his Snow Flake Elf (Christina) of the Hogs and Heroes Motorcycle Club (VA 2) for riding out and joining everyone to make it a very memorable event. Kids and family alike had a wonderful morning and generated over $900 for the Able Forces “Adopt” program. Thank you and God Bless everyone for their continued support of our Mission. Merry Christmas to all!!!!!
