ICYMI: USS SAN DIEGO (LPD 22) departs San Diego for Sasebo, Japan

The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) left San Diego, Aug. 14, to join the Forward-Deployed Naval Forces-Japan (FDNF-J), replacing USS GREEN BAY (LPD 20), which has been forward deployed to Sasebo for a decade.
