For students that are undeclared or declared in another major, but working towards declaring the IT major: No major changes will be considered or processed until after spring 2017 grades have been posted. If you are deemed eligible after your grades are posted, please contact an IST Academic Advisor (Ms. Genova, Mrs. Howe, or Mrs. Sevilla) to declare the major.

Dr. Mihai Boicu is co-author of a recently published book by Cambridge University Press: G. Tecuci, D. Marcu, M. Boicu, D. A. Schum, Knowledge Engineering: Building Cognitive Assistants for Evidence-based Reasoning, Cambridge University Press
The book presents a significant advancement in the theory and practice of knowledge engineering, the discipline concerned with the development of intelligent agents that use knowledge and reasoning to perform problem solving and decision-making tasks. It also includes a powerful learning agent shell, Disciple-EBR, enabling students, practitioners, and researchers to develop cognitive assistants rapidly in a wide variety of domains that require evidence-based reasoning, including intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, law, forensics, medicine, and education.
