I am saddened to learn of the passing of longtime Passaic County Commissioner Bruce James.

For more than two decades, Commissioner James dedicated himself to serving the people of Passaic County and leaves behind a lasting record of public service.

My condolences are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all those who knew him during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

On Wednesday September 9th, the LD40 offices are hosting a New Jersey Property Tax Relief Filing Event at the Wayne Public Library.

Representatives from Department of Treasury will be on site to assist with filing the 2025 PAS-1 application and provide information on the Senior Freeze, ANCHOR and STAY NJ. This event is for senior homeowners and renters aged 65 and over.

Did you know there are almost 5,000 New Jersey children in foster care each year due to abuse or neglect?

A CASA volunteer is a community member who is appointed by the Family Court Judge to advocate for the best interest of each child.

Right now, many of our local children are waiting for a CASA volunteer to help them while in foster care. With just 10-15 hours per month you can volunteer to be that person.
