Although it was sad to see summer ending, everyone had a wonderful time at the Fairmont City Christian Activity Center Celebration. Backpacks filled with school supplies for the new year were provided to over 150 Fairmont City children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
CAC will be closed until September 7th, when we begin the new school year. We look forward to seeing you then!
We will certainly miss the fun of our summer cooking class this year. However, we are still passing out drive by lunchesevery week day, dairy products on Friday and frozen chicken family packs on Monday, so we still get to see some of those great smiles!
Thank you Maryville Baptist for providing lunches today at CAC! Also, a special shoutout to the Witt family who came by to help serve!
Tomorrow we will have bags of fruit with our lunches and Friday we will be sending dairy boxes home with our families!
Thank you Prairie Farms! Instead of dumping unpurchased milk and dairy products, Prairie Farms has been donating them to families in need. CAC was the recipient of 40 boxes that were distributed to our families this week!
We are still distributing lunches every weekday at the CAC building located at 4012 Maple Ave. We are also providing carts to help you carry your items (or your children) home safely!
These wonderful volunteers from the Fairmont CAC were able to provide tons of fresh fruits and vegetables and toiletries to the families at the 5300 trailer park in Fairmont City yesterday. About 40 families came to enjoy all the food they can carry, as well as, hand made masks and fun packs for all their children.
God has blessed all of us.
Why when we live between STL and Collinsville both of which have DSL we can’t have it also. What needs to be done to bring fast affordable internet to our town?
Firefighter families and friends were out collecting money for our fire department annual Bootdrive fundraiser for MDA ( muscular dystrophy ) and we are still collecting money for MDA, so if you would like to donate plz stop by the firehouse or see our 5th annual kickball tournament flier for more info or you can contact firefighter Ron Pruitt phone number is on flier!
