While we were working at Spelter Volunteer Fire Department, their crews stayed busy responding to flooding calls and fire alarms. Here’s a quick clip of them heading to Bridgeport for a fire alarm.

Replaced the leaking power-steering return line and installed a new hydraulic line for the cab lift cylinder. Added protective sleeves made from retired fire hose at contact points to prevent the new hydraulic line from rubbing against the metal frame. Secured all lines, checked fluid levels, operated the cab lift, and inspected for leaks. No leaks were found at the time of service.

Marion County Rescue Squad’s new Ambulance 31 is one step closer to entering service!

We installed a Motorola APX 6500 dual-head mobile radio, a new antenna, and a Magnetic Mic system for secure and convenient microphone placement. The dual-head setup provides easy radio access from multiple locations within the ambulance.

Maintenance complete for Spelter VFD! 🔧 Engine 112 received an oil/filter service and rear differential fluid change; Engine 111, Tanker 11, Brush 11, and Squad 11 received complete maintenance services, with Brush 11 also receiving new brakes and rotors. Every apparatus was greased, inspected, and documented for review.

🚑 Major Communications Upgrade for MCRS 📻

Marion Upfitter & Detail LLC recently completed a major radio communications project for the Marion County Rescue Squad.

This project included:

✅ Reprogramming all mobile and portable radios
✅ Updating radio firmware and codeplugs
✅ Upgrading several radios
✅ Updating the department’s charging equipment
✅ Adding a secure PVT channel for authorized private communications
✅ Correcting and organizing radio IDs so every ID now matches its assigned radio

This was a large project that required a significant amount of time, coordination, and attention to detail. MCRS now has a more organized and consistent communications system across its fleet and portable radios.

A special thank-you to Chief 20 and Assistant Chief 20 for recognizing the importance of this project and for their trust and commitment throughout the entire process.

We appreciate the opportunity to continue supporting the Marion County Rescue Squad’s communications needs!

🚒 Mannington Fire Department Radio Upgrade 🚒

Mannington Fire Department recently upgraded its communications equipment with five Motorola APX portable radios, accessories, and a Motorola IMPRES multi-unit charger.

The radios were programmed and prepared for service, providing their members with dependable communications when it matters most.

🚒 Baxter Fire Department Fleet Service 🚒

Marion Upfitter & Detail LLC recently completed service and repairs on several Baxter Fire Department apparatus:

✅ Fully serviced Engine 25, Engine 21, and Rescue 24
✅ Changed all filters
✅ Completed full apparatus inspections
✅ Repaired the magnetic roll-up door switch on Engine 23
✅ Rewired the radio in Rescue 24
✅ Greased all trucks
