Today was an exciting day because the SSTAR Prevention team was able to talk to 70+ youth involved in Durfee High School’s Project Red and Black initiative regarding substance use prevention and youth involvement in our work. Working with the youth in our community is our favorite part of the job and the SSTAR Prevention team is so excited to begin working with you!

Yesterday evening, SSTAR Prevention staff participated in International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) events in Fall River and Taunton.
During International Overdose Awareness Day we remember the folks lost to addiction and the loved ones left behind. We also recognize the people doing critical work to help prevent overdose fatalities.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the annual DEA April Takeback has been canceled. However this week BOLD will be sharing a BUNCH of helpful information on how/where to safely dispose of your unused, unwanted, or expired prescription medication as well as how to safely store your medications.
