It was a great day for plaid shirts, colorful baskets filled with colorful market hauls, hot farm fresh breakfast sandwiches, pumpkin spice coffees, dahlia loving babies, pumpkins, squash, apple cider, and all things fall!! Plus we had the company of the amazing Plein Air Festival! 🎨

We had so much fun last weekend!! Not one, but TWO vendor birthdays! Happy belated birthday to Huseyin of Borek-G: Turkish Mom’s Cookin’ and Farmer Mark of Honey Brook Farm who came out to the market to spend his birthday morning with his son, Farmer Matthew! We ❤️ that our vendors love the market community so much that they happily share their birthdays with us!! Show them some belated birthday love!

Last Saturday we also had beautiful cascading basket bundles of carrots from Lydia's Fields, a Potomac Vegetable Farms’ Kale-yor Swift Eras Tour poster, stress relief and hilarity with laughing yoga in the park, so much amazing farmers market shopping, everyone’s favorite balloon artists, and Howie the hidden honey bee 🐝 (who wants you to know that the prize box just got a restock!)

We can’t wait for another great market morning with all of you tomorrow!

Happy National Farmers Market Week! We have special guest Kaiser Permanente Thrive here today interviewing Farmer Mark of Metro Microgreens! Stop by for some nutrition education and free microgreens samples and prizes!!

We’re also happy to host pop-up vendor Grassfed Griddle, the hot sandwich arm of Smith Meadows Sustainable Farm! If you’ve never cooked Smith Meadows’ meats for yourself, today’s your day to let someone else do the cooking for you and taste their delicious foods!!!

It’s National Oyster Day and OH WOW we are IN LUCK to have Steamboat Wharf Oyster Company back with us for a pop-up today! These Rappahannock River oysters are so fresh! They were just harvested on Thursday! 🦪🌊🦪🌊🦪🌊 Find them near the info booth and get them before they sell out!

It’s also the 1st Saturday of the month which means it’s Fun at the Farmers Market Day! We have a beach ball play area for the littles thanks to babycito, The Toy Nest, and dr.toothfairy.va and balloon animals are here today too!

The market is hopping! Two musicians, 50 vendors, alllllll the foods, and Howie with the summer zinnias! 🐝🌼

It’s the official start day to our ❄️WINTER MARKET❄️, but it still feels like an endless summer here with all the green things available thanks to farmers: Endless Summer Harvest, Metro Microgreens, Penn Farm/ Norma's Produce., and Sweet Potato Mike! 🥬

Today, we’re welcoming back Catoctin Coffee☕️, Clear Spring Creamery🥛, and Mama's Donut Bites 🍩 after a holiday break!

We also have new winter vendor with frozen dumplings! 🥟

And pop up vendors today are Three Sisters Taqueria with heirloom tortillas and sauces and Temalle LTD. is here with 🧺 so you can start a new year with a new way to carry all your !

And our winter hibernation hours started this morning! We are open from 9-12 for January, February and March so hit that snooze button. 😴
