Absentee voting begins today.
If you would like to vote by mail, follow these steps!
Steps to Vote Absentee in the June Primary
✅ Make sure you are eligible to vote. You must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old on Election Day, and a North Dakota resident for at least 30 days. No voter registration is required but you must have valid ID.
✅ Request an absentee ballot application from your county auditor or through the state portal here:

✅ Fill out the application using an approved ID such as a North Dakota driver’s license, state ID, tribal ID, or other accepted identification.
✅ Submit your application to your county auditor.
✅ Wait for your ballot to arrive in the mail.
✅ Fill out your ballot and sign the return envelope. Your signature must match your application.
✅ Return your ballot as instructed so it is received by Election Day.

🗓️Deadlines matter!
For the June 2026 primary, absentee voting begins April 30, applications are due June 8, and ballots must be returned by Election Day.
