When most children enter foster care, they receive two trash bags to put their belongings into, or in emergency situations they only have the clothes on their backs. The trauma of being taken from their homes, parents, and siblings, with nothing to call their own, can make the transition into a new home feel less than comforting. Our goal is to make this transition more welcoming by giving the chi
ldren items that belong to them in an awesome duffel bag. Each duffel bag will include shampoo, lotion, soap, bath towel, wash cloth, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, lice kit, teddy bear, and a blanket. Also, we will provide passes to community activities such as the Red River Zoo and Courts Plus indoor play center. Our goal is to provide 100 bags to local foster children each year.
