The Brandt Stone House All about the 1863 Brandt Stone house in Faribault Minnesota. The Brandt Stone house was built in 1863 by Charles and Josephine Brandt, German immigrants. ft.

They ran the Brandt Brewery on Willow which opened in 1857. The main house is made from local Faribault limestone blocks. The Turret feature was added in the early 1900s. A 4 car garage was added in 1986, and a large modern kitchen was added in 2004, yielding a home now with over 4000 sq. of living space, 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. Alexander Faribault, a fur trader, built the first home in the area just 10 years earlier in 1853.
