🧅 Holy Onions, Farmersville ISD! 🧅
Big news from our fields! Farmer John, along with our amazing Ag Department, just crushed the ultimate plant-and-harvest mission. They didn’t just grow any onions—they grew super-onions packed with love and nutrition for our students!
These fresh veggies are headed straight to our Child Nutrition Team to level up school meals. 🍽️✨
🚜 How the Magic Happened:

The Dream Team: Farmer John, Ag Teacher Claire Bunnell and our Ag students got their hands dirty planting and harvesting every single pound.
The Grand Total: Together, they harvested a whopping 925 pounds of onions! 🧅💪
The Colorful Variety: They grew a beautiful mix of white, yellow, and red onions to add extra color and flavor to school lunches! ⚪🟡🔴
The Ultimate Boost: This awesome project was fully powered by the Texas Health Community Impact Grant!
Healthy bodies build strong minds, and our kids are officially eating like champions. Huge shoutout to everyone digging in to make FISD a healthier place! 🥳💪

We’re excited to share that we’ve adopted a new communication platform called ParentSquare to help us keep you better informed and more connected with your school community.

With ParentSquare, you’ll receive all school and classroom messages in one place and translated into your preferred language—whether by email, text, app, or web.

You’ll also be able to:
- Stay up to date on news and events
- Send and receive messages with teachers and staff
- Fill out forms and permission slips
- Sign up for conferences and volunteer opportunities
- View calendar items and photos from your school

All school, grade-level, and classroom communications will now come through ParentSquare.

To get the most out of ParentSquare, we encourage you to download the free mobile app, available for iOS and Android. You can also access ParentSquare from your web browser at www.parentsquare.com.

If you need to update your email or phone number in ParentSquare or add a phone number, please log in to your Skyward account and make the changes there. Changes may take up to 24 hours to appear in your ParentSquare account.

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back for another great school year! Please take note of the schedule and details for August 7th:

8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Schedule Pickup: Schedules may be picked up in the main office throughout the day.

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Meet the Teacher (Open House): Come and go as you please! Guardians and students are invited to walk through student schedules and meet our teachers and staff.

Important Details:

Lockers: Students can sign up for a locker during the events. Please note that a combination lock or a key lock (with a spare key left with the office) must be turned in to the front office before a locker is assigned.

We will also be hosting our third Skyward Registration Assistance session August 6th from 12:30 - 6:00 PM at the Junior High.
