Irrigation is an important part of any garden. We can be more sustainable when we find ways to work with and maximalist the water that Mother Nature gives us for free

Check out this cool illustration showing different types of terraces and other soil and water conservation techniques on a slope! 🏞️

You can see examples like level terraces, reverse-slope terraces, slope-separated terraces, and sloped terraces. These designs help to slow down water runoff, reduce soil erosion, and make the land more usable for planting, especially on hilly terrain.
The illustration also shows a level ditch and fish-scale pits, which are other clever ways to manage water and improve soil moisture.

Pretty interesting how different approaches can be used to work with the land and protect our valuable soil and water resources! 🌱💧
