Early voting for the Nov. 3, 2026, general election begins Tuesday, Oct. 13, at four Fayette County locations. Voters may cast ballots at any early voting site in the county, regardless of precinct.

Schedule:

• Tuesday–Saturday, Oct. 13–17: 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
• Monday–Saturday, Oct. 19–24: 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
• Sunday, Oct. 25: noon–4 p.m.
• Monday–Friday, Oct. 26–30: 9 a.m.–7 p.m.

Early voting ends Friday, Oct. 30. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open 7 a.m.–7 p.m. at assigned precincts.

It's time for our 5-year Comprehensive Plan Update. We are calling residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to take part in shaping the future of the county. The update will be completed in coordination with the City of Fayetteville to ensure greater consistency across shared boundaries and to reduce development conflicts. Fayette County will host an Elections 101 class on September 2 at 2:30 PM at the Fayette County Library. This free, public session is designed to help residents better understand the elections process and provide a clear, accessible overview of how local elections are administered.

Fayette County is kicking off the 5‑Year Comprehensive Plan Update — and we need YOUR help!
We’re forming a Stakeholders Group, and we’re looking for community members who want to get involved and make a real impact. Stakeholders will play a key role in encouraging attendance at public engagement events and ensuring we gather broad, meaningful community input.

We’re seeking volunteers like you. People who love our County. People who want to help in this effort.

Over the next 10–12 months, we expect at least three major community engagement events, followed by public hearings with the Board of Commissioners. Our consultant will also conduct one-on-one interviews with stakeholders to gather deeper insights.

If you’re passionate about Fayette County’s future, we’d love for you to volunteer!

Fayette County is beginning the 5-year Comprehensive Plan Update. As part of the update, we are looking for people to participate as part of the Stakeholders Group. Participants help promote attendance at public engagement events, maximizing participation and community input. We would like representatives from the residential, business, recreational, environmental, agricultural, real estate, educational, and development communities.

Over the next 10-12 months, we anticipate at least 3 community engagement events, followed by the appropriate public hearings at Board of Commissioners meetings. The consultant will also interview stakeholders individually for additional insights.

During the August 13 Board of Commissioners meeting, 4-H teams were recognized for their achievements. The Healing Bridge Clinic in Fayette County was also recognized.
