Early this morning, Springdale was hit by what is believed to be a tornado. Springdale has suffered significant damage. I connected with Mayor Sprouse, at the City of Springdale, AR - Mayor's Office, immediately and called in a verbal emergency declaration. By declaring an emergency with the State, this alerts them to be ready if and when we need them.
We had all of our equipment staged and ready to assist Springdale. That will be our priority until Springdale is no longer in need of our assistance.
Please pray for everyone touched by this disaster and those picking up the pieces. Crews are working diligently on getting the power back on and roads cleared.
