Update on Global Events and Domestic Impact

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am writing to ensure you have the direct facts regarding the events that began on February 28, 2026. Our nation has entered a period of heightened tension following preemptive strikes on Iranian strategic and nuclear sites.
While the administration maintains these actions were necessary, we must be prepared for the immediate consequences here at home:
Energy Costs: Due to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, energy analysts are forecasting a sharp spike in gas prices, with some regions expected to hit $4.70 to $5.00 per gallon within the next month.
Security Risks: National security experts have moved to high alert regarding potential retaliatory cyberattacks on our power grids and water systems.
Diplomatic Status: As of now, there is no ceasefire in sight. Iranian leadership has rejected negotiations, viewing this as an existential conflict.
Congressional Oversight: These strikes were initiated without a formal vote from Congress, leading to a bipartisan push for a War Powers Resolution to prevent further escalation.
The "lid" has been removed from a very volatile region, and the fallout is no longer just a distant concern—it is hitting our wallets and our safety today. I will continue to monitor these developments and provide you with the facts as they unfold.

Stay vigilant and stay informed.

A Heads-Up for My Friends and Neighbors Regarding the Primary

Greetings,
I’m not here to read you a script or beg for a vote. I’m not for sale, and I think you all know that by now. But I do owe it to my friends and neighbors to tell you what’s actually happening with our elections.
The state party officially closed the primary. For the first time in 40 years, if you aren't a registered Republican, you are locked out of the room. You can’t vote for me—or anyone else on my side of the aisle—unless you change your paperwork.
I believe in people, not parties. If you want to change your affiliation so you can have a say this May, that's great. If not, that’s okay too—I respect however you feel you need to vote. Whatever votes come my way, or whoever else earns your support, that’s how democracy is supposed to work.
The deadline to change your affiliation is April 21, 2026.
I just wanted to make sure you knew the gates were being closed before you showed up at the polls. If you want to make sure your voice is heard, you can update your info at

The mission of the Office of Secretary of State is to enhance commerce, ensure integrity of the electoral process, and to preserve certain historical documents essential to our State while providing prompt quality service to the businesses, voters, and citizens of West Virginia.

STAY IN THE JUNGLE: TRASH MEMES HAVE NO PLACE IN THE WHITE HOUSE
I’ve seen a lot of wild stuff on the internet, but that video the President shared was something else entirely. I’m a Republican and I’ve always had respect for Barack Obama, so seeing that pop up from the White House was definitely a choice.
Look, I’m not easily shocked, and the sheer absurdity of it is one thing, but there’s a line where you have to have some class. You can recognize how crazy and "out there" a video is while still knowing it has no business being posted by the leader of the country. The White House tried to brush it off as a "Lion King" meme, but let’s be real—we were raised better than that. We can disagree on policy all day long, but we don't need to dive into the gutter to do it.
Personally, if it were me, I’d find it comical—you’d probably find me walking around singing The Lion King—but it's still very disrespectful. I, for one, would like to apologize to Barack Obama and his family for being depicted like that, especially without their consent. It all goes back to an earlier statement I made about a house divided.
These types of memes and videos push an idea of a hierarchy that really does not need to exist within American politics. I really hope that, in the future, politics and politicians can move away from the unnecessary desire to waste the people's time like this.

FAYETTE COUNTY PUBLIC AWARENESS

Dear friends and neighbors,

please try to stay warm out here. I’m seeing the news and I want you to know I truly care about your safety—no one should have to face this kind of cold alone.
This Winter Storm Fern is being compared to the historic 1993 'Storm of the Century' because of the massive ice and snow it's brought to Fayette County. While this system is moving out, we need to be ready for the next one; long-range forecasts are already showing another major Arctic blast for mid-February.
If your power is out or you need a warm place to stay, please use these resources:
Call 9-1-1: If you are in immediate danger or have a medical emergency, call 911 right away.

Call 2-1-1: Dial 2-1-1 (or text your zip code to 898-211) for the nearest warming centers and disaster help.

WV VOAD: Call 304-553-0927 for emergency supplies and food assistance.

Southern Appalachian Labor School (SALS): Located at the Historic Oak Hill School (140 School St). Call 304-465-4246 to check warming center hours.

American Red Cross: Call 1-800-RED-CROSS for emergency shelter and disaster relief.

Urgent Community Awareness regarding the ICE Shooting of Renée Good

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I am writing this to inform you of the horrific events that happened yesterday, January 7, 2026, regarding Renee Nicole Good.
Renee, a 37-year-old mother and poet, was in her car when she was approached by ICE agents during a federal operation. During the encounter, Renee was given conflicting orders: one agent was yelling at her to stay, while another agent was ordering her to drive away.
As Renee attempted to follow the order to leave, an agent fired multiple shots through her windshield. Renee was shot in the face 3 to 4 times and killed.
I condemn the actions of these ICE agents, their organization, and the policies of the administration that governs them. I do not want to try to impress upon you or any of you that believe these actions being performed by these agents are correct, but I must address the issue of the gross incompetence that caused this to happen. This event should never have occurred. I would like to remind all of you that this could have been any one of us. We should all be aware of these things so that we can make sure they are not happening to our friends, family, and children.
I want to give my deepest condolences to the friends and family of Renee Nicole Good. I hope that they can find peace with this horrible atrocity that has been committed against them.

If I'm elected to House of Delegates, the way I work:
You're going to hear from me. I’m not going to Charleston to hide. At least once a week—and basically every time I see or hear something that isn’t right—I’m putting it out there. If I'm awake and something is happening to us, you're going to see it on my pages as it's happening.
Local first, always. I’m not making promises I can’t keep, but I’m telling you now: I will never vote for something that sells out our local people or our local governments. If a bill hurts our county or takes away our right to run our own backyard, I’m against it.
Real jobs for our neighbors. I’m going to fight for the kind of growth that actually hires people from right here in Fayette County. I want industry here, but only if it means putting our own people to work.
My website and my pages are there for a reason. I want to hear your opinions because if elected I’m taking them straight to the House floor. If you've got something to say, I'm making sure they hear it in Charleston.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I wanted to share a vision for West Virginia that is all about protecting our home, our heritage, and our future. I’ve seen how things are changing, and I believe it’s time I take a stand to ensure this state remains a place where our children can actually afford to live, work, and raise their own families. Here is what I am pushing for:

1. Keeping West Virginia Land in West Virginian Hands.

Our land is our greatest asset. I believe that if a major local business or a massive tract of land goes up for sale, local residents and in-state employers should get the first shot at keeping it. I want to stop out-of-state speculators from buying up our mountains and hollows behind a wall of shell companies. If you own a piece of this state, I believe you should have to be transparent about who you are and answer to our local laws—not a court in another state or a boardroom.

2. A Real Future for Our Young People

I’m tired of seeing our best and brightest leave because they can’t afford to plant roots here. I am proposing a "Stay-to-Pay" initiative. This would provide direct down-payment assistance and interest-rate relief for West Virginians between the ages of 18 and 35 who are buying their first home or starting a farm. By giving them a refundable tax credit on their mortgage interest, I want to make it financially possible for the next generation to stay right here where they belong.

3. Total Accountability for Public Resources

Taxpayer dollars—whether they go toward state vehicles, aircraft, or personnel—belong to the people. I am calling for a strict "Ethical Neutrality" standard. No public official should ever be allowed to use state-funded assets to further their own private business deals or to settle their personal legal debts. If an official is caught using our resources for their own gain, I believe they shouldn’t just say "sorry"—they should be required to pay the state back three times the cost of what they used.
This isn't about politics; it’s about common sense. It’s about making sure West Virginia isn't for sale to the highest bidder and that our leaders are held to the same standards as the rest of us. It’s time I help lead the way in reinvesting in our own people and protecting the sovereignty of our borders.
