Sturbridge was well represented at the State Convention in Worcester on Saturday April 25th. It was a pleasure to have Seth Dillon of Babylon Bee as our Keynote speaker. His satire and sense of humor in the political arena is first rate.

He had all of the delegates laughing in a big way and it was much needed.
Here is a picture of (4) of our Sturbridge Delegates. Front to back first is my lovely wife Gail Young, and then Kristen Tuohey, Fidelis Onwubueke and Chris Grubert. We also had the rest of our contingent a few rows down. We ARE dedicated and we welcome more Sturbridge Republicans. We also very much need the "UNENROLLED" to take a very close and thoughtful look at their vote for Governor. November will be here in no time and Mike Minogue and Anne Brensley will need your vote!

Massachusetts Residents Deserve Better

Good Afternoon Michael,

Even Democrats agree that Deb Goldberg is a complete failure as a Treasurer.

Goldberg has had oversight responsibility for the Cannabis Control Commission. Under her watch, the Commission has been plagued by years of mismanagement, dysfunction, and a lack of clear leadership.

Now, Beacon Hill Democrats are moving to take that authority away from the Treasurer’s office altogether, which is a stunning admission that the current system has failed.

But here’s the bigger concern: instead of fixing the problem with stronger oversight and accountability, control is being shifted into the hands of the Governor’s office — the very same administration that has faced serious questions about its own judgment and internal management. Maura Healey had a staff member dealing drugs out of her western Massachusetts office and now she is going to manage the Cannabis Control Commission.

This isn’t reform. It’s passing the buck.

Massachusetts residents deserve better. The cannabis is a major industry that requires steady, competent oversight. It should not be a political football to be passed around.

Sturbridge Republicans held their Caucus Tuesday Evening February 17th at "THE DUCK" We would like to thank the entire staff at THE DUCK for their outstanding food, service and attention to our needs during the meeting in their Cygnet Room.

Attendance was good but we would like to do better so please watch this space for meeting and event notices.

We voted on a slate of 13 delegates to attend the MASS GOP Convention April 25th at the DCU Center in WORCESTER.
