Coconino County is vast, diverse and deeply connected. Some people may not be aware that we are the 2nd largest county by area in the entire country! From our county seat in Flagstaff to our rural and tribal communities, each brings their own unique needs and strengths. Serving here means understanding how geography, environment and community shape the way counties deliver services every day. Coconino County leaders, like our treasurer Sarah, manage some of the most diverse geographic regions in the country from the snowy San Francisco Peaks to the extraordinary Grand Canyon.

During County Government Month, we take time to appreciate leaders like Sarah and everyone working behind the scenes to keep our county safe, beautiful and welcoming for our community and visitors from around the world.
