We are thrilled to launch the Fatherhood Project in our community, thanks to a grant from the Commonwealth Center for Fathers and Families. In partnership with the Flemingsburg Family Resource Center, this program connects fathers through education, support, and teamwork. Join us for our first meeting on Tuesday, August 18, at 6:00 PM at the Fleming County Public Library. Please register ahead of time so we can get an accurate headcount for food. Kentucky households can apply for LIHEAP Summer Subsidy from August 3 - September 11, 2026, to help offset cooling costs with a one-time electric benefit. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, or until funds are depleted.

Interested households should contact their local Community Action Agency, based on county of residence, to determine eligibility and complete the application process. To locate the office serving your county, visit www.capky.org/network or call 800-456-3452.

Households must meet eligibility requirements, including household income of up to and including 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to qualify for assistance. Benefits are paid directly to the household’s electric vendor.

No disconnect notice, past-due bill, or eviction notice is required to apply. Assistance received during previous LIHEAP components does not affect eligibility.
