Check out how campus will look this fall! Be Safe and Go Blue!

Coming to campus may be a little different these days, but we have many processes to help you stay healthy and mitigate the potential spread of the virus.

When entering any building on campus, you’ll be greeted by friendly UM-Flint staff who will ask a few simple health questions and perform a quick temperature check. Face coverings are required. If you do not have one, a covering will be provided by the Department of Public Safety. With your cooperation, these ongoing measures will help to keep faculty, staff, students, and visitors safe and protected. For more information, please visit umflint.edu/blueprint.

Hello everyone. Greetings. My name is Pariksh*t Mishra. I am an Indian student who studied at DPS - Modern Indian School, Doha - Qatar in the CBSE curriculum. I am a prospective student at the UofM Flint. I will be studying the Mechanical Engineering program. I have two questions to ask all the current students, ex-students, and the faculty. 1. When I pass out of Michigan will my graduation certificate say which campus I have studied from if: a) I finish 4 years at Flint campus, and b) I study for 2 years at Flint and then do my graduation from Ann Arbor? 2. Can you please give me links of various groups on WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. where I can talk to current students, ex-students, and the faculty? I have a few questions to ask them. Thank you all for your time and please forgive me for bothering you with such vague questions.
When these right-wing, neo-con, smart-bombing- wherever, war-mongers, ask us, "(B)uddy, what about you guys killing each other?!.." Civilized Savage gods (CSG) is dedicated to being part of the solution. Of course Black Lives Matter, but we (righteous/sane people) need to do our collective all to put God's Presence into that split second of evil indiscretion. We know for an Actual Fact that God is Well Able to get between that finger and that trigger- even when that trigger is dis-porportionately Black or Brown ("Super-Predators", "Urban Youth", "Gang Bangers" "Thugs"...) Civilized Savage gods (CSG) pledge to do our humble part to help curb this "epidemic" of sickening gun violence in America...Straight talk, brah, we're pointing with dirty hands. A real man always thinks of the long-term implications of his actions. They say, shooting incidents have decreased by 28% through the first two months of 2018 in Chicago!! .. Homicide rate in New York for 2017 was lowest in 70 years!! Los Angeles homicides down 6% in 2017 too..Keep prayin' it safe.. NO MORE, "US KILLING US.." PASS IT ON, PLEASE NO CURSING/ ALL FAITHS (brief video clip) Produced by CSG Music Group (#csgmusicgroup..[email protected])
Hello! I am a student at Wayne State University's School of Social Work and I am completing a community analysis of Flint. Part of our research requires us to gather perspectives of community members regarding their views of the city's strengths, needs, hopes, and changes over the years. If anyone on or related to the U-M Flint student government is also a Flint resident and would be willing to follow the link and participate in our survey, I would be so grateful! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Additionally, I would like to interview three community lay-leaders. If anyone is in a leadership position in a Flint community organization, regardless of residence, and is willing to complete a brief phone interview, please contact me at [email protected]. Thank you!
As I write this, Michigan Radio is reporting that two people have been shot and killed in a dorm on the Central Michigan University Campus. The Women's Movement is joining with the Parkland, Florida students to encourage a nation-wide student walk-out March 14, for 17 minutes at 10 a.m. http://time.com/5165794/student-protests-walkouts-florida-school-shooting/ I am asking college student organizations to reach out to their network of student organizations across UM campuses, across colleges and universities in Flint, across the state and the country to join this walkout and call on all students, faculty and staff to join as well. We are all as vulnerable on college campuses as are the high school students, as are the young people in nightclubs, as are the public in movie theaters, as are the public in concert venues, malls and workplaces and many other locations. Please consider being a part of this action and lending your voice to impact this issue. Young people have so much more power at this moment in time to affect this issue.
Hi, everyone! I am an alumna of UM-Flint hoping to give back to my community and its college students. I am a mental health therapist in private practice working in the Milford/Highland area. I am looking to expand my services to college-aged individuals. I know that oftentimes university counseling centers can have you on a waiting list or can only get you in for sessions once a month. I can help with that! I am now accepting new clients and have consistent, weekly openings. If you or anyone you know is looking for support while navigating college, please give me a call or send me an email! 810-279-0515 or [email protected]. I am currently accepting the following insurances: Aetna Blue Care Network Blue Cross Blue Shield Cofinity Magellan Behavioral Health McLaren Meridian Molina Physicians Health Plan I am looking forward to helping you with your individualized needs. ...and as always, GO BLUE :)
We are still looking for committed Directors and Senators for the 2017-18 Academic year. If you are interested in any of the positions and have additional questions, please let me know.
