With many hospitals experiencing high capacity and limited resources, we are receiving requests for monoclonal antibodies from patients across the state. Right now, we have staff volunteering their time in our Monoclonal Antibody Clinic, on top of their already high workload, to help meet patient need. It’s always our mission to provide clinical excellence and service to people so we will help as many people as we can UNDER THESE CURRENT PROVISIONS:
Clinic is only available to these 2 groups who also meet the following 4 requirements.
GROUP 1: Patients 65 and older
GROUP 2: Adult patients with one of these conditions:
BMI over 35
Diabetes
Heart or Cardiovascular Disease
Chronic lung disease including asthma
Chronic Kidney Disease
Pregnancy
Weakened Immune System
Immunosuppressive Treatment
Sickle Cell Disease
Medical–related technological dependence (feeding tube, tracheostomy)
Neurodevelopmental Disorder
⭐ Those 2 groups ONLY are eligible and you must also meet THESE 4 REQUIREMENTS:
1️⃣ Must be a Genesee/Shiawassee/Lapeer County Resident
2️⃣ Must have a positive COVID-19 test with a copy of test results
(If in need of testing for Covid-19 can be directed to HMC Urgent Cares. We are currently not providing prophylactic treatment for Covid-19 exposures in the MAB clinic at this time.)
3️⃣ Must be within 10 days of beginning of symptoms
(If it is more than 10 days from the start of symptoms you should contact your primary care physician for further instructions.)
