Genesee County Parks Rangers The Genesee County Parks consists of 11,000 acres with 21 developed park properties spread over two counties, making it the largest county parks system in the State of Michingan.

The Rangers Division of the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission is a full-service law enforcement agency headquartered in Flint, Michigan. The Ranger Division currently consists of a Chief, Detective and 40 Full-time and Seasonal Rangers. All Rangers are licensed Police Officers in the State of Michigan. The Ranger Division operates 24/7 year round. Rangers are tasked with investigating criminal complaints that range from violations of the Leash Law to Death investigations.

Mission: The Ranger Division is the primary law enforcement agency assigned to patrol the Parks Commission properties. The Rangers enforce all laws including Federal, State, Marine and local ordinances.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, reservation of Genesee County Parks pavilions have been delayed to at least June 22, 2020. All pavilion reservations through June 21 will be automatically cancelled. Those reservations between May 1 and June 21 will receive a household credit. If persons with affected reservations wish to change the date of their reservation or request a refund, please call 810.736.7100, ext. 6, after Monday, May 4 at 8am.
