Holly Easter Gifts For Kids

Because of the generosity of all of you, we were able to distribute gifts to over 20 family's and close to 50 children. This was an unbelievable effort and we did it in one week. I would call that a total success!!! Thank you Holly for the opportunity to serve you...

Update from our Grand Guardian. Please see below:

Hi Michigan!

I hope this finds you safe and well during these unusual times. Around 8 pm on Thursday, I received an email from the Supreme Guardian Council and the Board of Trustees.

With this in mind, the Executive Grand Guardian Council is in the process of rearranging our schedule and making plans on how to best support you. Things may not look how we expected them to, however; I know how creative you all are at staying connected electronically and how strong our bond in Michigan is. Everything will work out and we will be stronger for it!

At this time, we will stand by the request given by the Supreme Guardian Council and the Board of Trustees. We will continue to monitor the situation and do what is best for our members and volunteers. As new information becomes available, we will be sure to communicate to everyone.

Looking forward to a day when we can all be together again!

Mom Amy

Subject: COVID-19 Update from Supreme

Hello all,

The Board of Trustees, Executive Officers of the SGC and Supreme Jurisprudence Committee is recommending that all in-person activities of JDI be suspended until May 31, 2020, or until such time as recommended by your Federal//Provincial/Territorial/State/Local governments. This suspension includes, but is not limited to Bethel meetings, Council meeting, fundraisers, Grand Sessions, competitions and social activities. The health and welfare of our Daughters and valuable adult volunteers is of the utmost importance. We are working on guidelines for Grand Guardian Councils, Jurisdictional Guardian Councils, Bethels, and Bethels under Supreme to use to operate while in this pandemic international emergency.

Please reach out to me with any additional questions.

Linda Luttrell, Supreme Guardian

John Coulter, Chairman of JDI Board of Trustees.

From our Grand Guardian Amy Flowers. Please see below:

To: All Grand Guardian Councils and Bethels Under Supreme,

From: Board of Trustees and Executive SGC Officers
Job’s Daughters International

The Board of Trustees and Executive Officers of the Supreme Guardian Council held an emergency meeting on Saturday March 14th, to discuss the COVID-19 virus and the effect of the worldwide pandemic on Job’s Daughters International.

JDI has never experienced a State of Emergency from Federal/Provincial/Territorial/State/Local governments. As a result, the Constitution and Bylaws of JDI does not outline the steps that should be taken when a State of Emergency is declared. Therefore, the Board of Trustees is recommending that all in-person activities of JDI be suspended until April 14, 2020 or until such time as recommended by your Federal/Provincial/Territorial/State/Local governments. This suspension includes, but is not limited to Bethel meetings, Council meeting, fund raisers, Grand Sessions, competitions and social activities. The health and welfare of our Daughters and valuable adult volunteers is of the utmost importance

The Executive SGC Officers, with the advice of the Supreme Jurisprudence Committee, will develop guidelines for the recommendation/election and installation of Officers that are postponed due this worldwide pandemic.

The Board of Trustees will continue to monitor the situation and provide recommended changes as they are presented.

For more information you may contact, Board Chairman, John Coulter [email protected] or 503-804-6034

This is from Dad Vincent A. D’Aguanno, for all the DeMolay events. Please see below:

To the members, parents, advisors and friends of DeMolay in MIchigan:
As everyone is aware the Covid-19 pandemic has affected many schools, sports teams, businesses and organizations and I have been monitoring the developments closely today. As stated previously, the health and safety of our members, advisors and guests is our top priority and we do not want to take any actions that may place them at risk.
Most of the Masonic organizations in the state have suspended their events and meetings and regrettably, I too will have to follow them. Therefore, as of 12:01am tomorrow, all DeMolay Installations will be postponed until after April 5, 2020. All Chapter's will have a blanket dispensation from me to not hold any meetings. I would ask that if the Advisory Council and Chapters decide to not hold meeting that they let me know so that the information can be passed on to the other Chapters. There is to be no visitation of other Chapters meetings during this period. As of today Livingston County has suspended all activities until April 5, 2020 and Wayne Masonic Center has closed their building thus they will not be meeting. Please check with your Temple Board to see if they are planning to close the building.
I did not come to this decision lightly but I believe that these measures are necessary. We will get through this and everything will return to normal hopefully in the next month. There has been no decision made as of yet with respect to the Heartland Ritual Tournament. I have sent inquiries to the Executive Officers of those Jurisdictions that participate to see what their plans are. More information will follow regarding the Tournament.
Vincent A. D’Aguanno,
Grand Junior Councilor,
International Supreme Council,
Order of DeMolay,
Executive Officer,
Jurisdiction of Michigan
