City of Florala Council meeting Monday, February 9th, in the auditorium of the municipal complex. There will be a public hearing at 5:45 for vacating an old city street, a workshop at 6:00, and the council meeting will begin at 6:30. The new kiosk system at Lake Jackson will be operational and in use starting on January 1st. The kiosk accepts $1 bills and $5 bills. You can also use credit or debit cards, and it also has tap-to-pay, so you can use your phone. The entry fee to the boat ramp is $5.00; you can purchase an annual pass for $50.00 at the campground office. If you are a veteran, you can obtain a free Veterans pass at the campground office as well. If you currently have an annual pass that has time remaining, you will be given an access pass to cover your remaining time. I purchased my annual pass this morning and have attached a picture of it below to show what they look like. Thank you all for your understanding as we transition to this system. This is the beginning of great improvements to come that we can all be proud of and take pride in.
