To qualify for Florence 1’s income-based 4K program, your child must:
🔹Be four years old on or before September 1, 2026
🔹Live within the Florence 1 Schools attendance zone and provide Proof of Residency
🔹Provide verification of qualifying income (e.g., current Medicaid card, parent pay stub, tax return, or W2)

🍎 Florence 1 Schools families can visit the district’s three high schools this summer to receive free breakfast and lunch during the Summer Meals program! 🥪

All children 18 years old or younger can participate. Each child getting a meal must be present, and meals are consumed on-site.

📋 Meals will be available June 8th through July 16th.
🍽️ Breakfast: Monday-Friday from 8 - 9 am
🥗 Lunch: Monday-Thursday from 11 am until 12 pm

Every car ride is now a concert tour. 🎶🚗

Since mid-May, we’ve seen only a 4% increase in student registration across the district. ☀️🏖️ Currently, 3,303 students still aren't registered. With just four days remaining until summer break, families only have four more days to receive registration assistance until next school year. 🚌 To ensure students are eligible to ride the bus on the first day of school, their registration must be completed by July 8.

Woods Road CDC is proud to announce and celebrate our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Member of the Year!

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Elizabeth Janssen, our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Janssen consistently demonstrates excellence in the classroom through her dedication, creativity, compassion, and commitment to student success. She goes above and beyond each day to create meaningful learning experiences while building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Her passion for education and heart for children make her a true asset to our Wee Fox family.

We would also like to recognize Mr. Gavin McLaughlin as our 2026–2027 Support Staff Member of the Year. Mr. Gavin is known for his positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to help wherever needed. His hard work and support behind the scenes play a vital role in the daily success of our school community. He serves with excellence and is deeply appreciated by both staff and students alike.

At Woods Road CDC, we are blessed with an incredible team of educators and support staff who work tirelessly to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for our students. We are honored to celebrate Mrs. Janssen and Mr. Gavin for this well-deserved recognition.
