Be ready for pick up by Monday, September 7th

The City will pick up yard debris only
- Place yard debris in usual trash pick up spot
- Haul other eligible items to a provided dumpster located at:
Pioneer Park, Lions Park, or City Hall
- The City Burn/dump pit will be closed

*Accumulated trash will not be picked up
No electronics, mattresses, tires, batteries, or paint whatsoever
The City of Florence will not double back for your items!
They will move across town East to West

Today, the City of Florence officially cut the ribbon on one of the most requested amenities in Pioneer Park… a bathroom!

This project was made possible through the collaboration and support of many people. A sincere thank you to DK Horn Engineering, Spire Building Group, City Council, City Staff, and our citizens for helping bring this long-awaited improvement to Pioneer Park.

Sometimes the projects that make the biggest difference are also the most practical. We’re proud to continue investing in the amenities that make Florence a better place to live, work, and play.

Drought Town Hall – Tonight at 5:30 PM
Join us in Council Chambers this evening for a community Q&A and discussion about current conditions, drought levels, water conservation, and how the City is responding.

The America's Parade was rescheduled due to the Aspen Acres Fire 2026.
The new date for the parade is August 1st - Colorado Day!
The committee will get final approval from City of Florence Colorado Government City Council on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Come celebrate America's 250th Birthday and Colorado's 150th Statehood with us!
Opening ceremonies & Community Awards at 9AM
Parade starts at 10AM with conclusion at approximately 12PM

Then "Follow Us to the Fair" for the 102nd Fremont County Fair and Rodeo at Pathfinder Park at 6655 HWY 115 in Florence. Buyer's BBQ starts at 2PM, livestock auction starts at 4PM (you still have time to register) and then the CPRA rodeo at 7PM
