Hey everyone, hope you all are doing well during these uncertain time. Thanks SO VERY MUCH for all you've done with us over the last year. We will be back to regular sweeps very soon, we hope!

In the mean time, we are all trying to stay safe, and are practicing social distancing, I'm really excited about the Aquarium's Solo Sweep challenge!! We can practice social distancing AND participate in conservation efforts during Earth Month by doing litter pickups in our own neighborhoods. We're on the “march to a million” pieces of debris removed and logged with almost 800,000 already documented! Join me by downloading the South Carolina Aquarium Citizen Science app at scaquarium.org/solosweep, logging your litter in the Litter-free Digital Journal and associating it with the April Solo Sweep Challenge event. Also, if you want to post your pictures here, please do. Stay safe until we meet again.

The South Carolina Aquarium encourages citizens to track and remove plastics and other debris from both land and water throughout our beautiful state. Collectively, these efforts improve human health, promote habitat conservation, and save wildlife.
