Rolling Hills Blue Star Moms

Rolling Hills Blue Star Moms Chartered February 11, 2011. We are a chapter in good standing of the Blue Star Mothers of America.

We are Mothers, Fathers, Family and Friends united in support of men and women in the Armed Forces of the United States of America and our Veterans. Our Rolling Hills Blue Star Family is mothers, fathers, family and friends united in support of men and women in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. We support Gold Star Families, those that lost a loved one in a military conflict, and S

ilver Star Families, those who came home wounded. Our mission in general is patriotic in our beliefs that American was founded on freedom. We are committed to offering support to the military; active, reserve, veterans, wounded, fallen, and their families. We are dedicated to raising awareness in the local communities of the personal sacrifices members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America make to maintain freedom. Several times a year we hold Care Package Packing Parties where we pack 500-1000 boxes with non-perishable food and personal hygiene items and send them to military men and women serving around the world. Additionally, we assist organizations who give care and rehabilitation to those who have been injured in a military conflict. We also support local veterans during times of need and families of deployed service members that are left behind.

Why We Wear the Blue Star 💙

The Blue Star is more than a symbol.

It represents a son, daughter, spouse, or loved one who is serving our nation in the United States Armed Forces. It is a visible reminder that a family member has answered the call to serve and that an entire family shares in that commitment.

The tradition of the Blue Star Service Banner dates back to World War I when families proudly displayed a blue star in their window to signify a loved one serving in the military. Today, the Blue Star remains a powerful symbol of service, sacrifice, pride, and hope.

For Blue Star Mothers, the Blue Star represents the pride we feel for our children who wear the uniform. It also represents the sleepless nights, the deployments, the missed holidays, and the unwavering support we provide from home.

When you see a Blue Star, remember that behind it is a military family standing strong alongside their service member.

We wear the Blue Star with pride because it tells a story of love, service, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation. 🇺🇸💙
